The Atlanta Hawks hold the number three overall pick in the NBA draft this month, and their are rumors that the Celtics are trying to make a deal. The deal is rumored that the Celtics want the 5th overall pick from Dallas in exchange for Jaylen Brown and the 27th overall pick. The deal will not get done because the Mavericks want Jayson Tatum instead.

Michael Beasley has been a journeyman during his 10 NBA seasons and it seems he coud be on the move again.  He is rumored to be on the radar of the Suns (Played for Phoenix in 2012) and Hawks. Mark Berman  New York post first broke the new Tuesday:

The Atlanta Hawks came out of the draft lottery with the #3 pick in next month's draft and all the talk that surrounding their next future star. They're a lot of ways to go with this pick but since Atlanta has 3 1st rounders they should take the best available. I'm going to put my vote in for Marvin Bagley III out of Duke University and I'll give you my thoughts on why I like Bagley as Atlanta 1st pick of the first round.

Dennis Schroder's future in Atlanta has been in question for a couple of years now, but his upcoming meeting with team executive's will give us the answers to those questions on the 24-year-old's stance with the team.

The Atlanta Hawks just signed their new head coach Lloyd Pierce to a three year deal, which means it's a new era in Hotlanta.

The Atlanta Hawks are in full rebuild mode and it could be an extensive build or they could build a contender faster with the right moves. One move I think they should explore is making a deal with Miami for Hassan Whiteside. He recently made "detrimental" comments about whether he was still wanted by the team and I think it opens the door for trade talks. I know you're saying here he goes again, but think about this before you rush to judgment on why I think Atlanta should explore a trade. Whiteside fills a major need: Atlanta has been average at best at center since Horford left in free agency and that's no knock to Dedmon, but Whiteside is agiler , a better defender and he brings a higher ceiling. Atlanta ranks near the bottom of the league in every major statistical category at the Center position, Points 17.9 (25th), Rebounds 13.2 (T-22nd) and Blocks 1.6 (24th) so Whiteside would be an upgrade. Open Field Report writer Donovan Howard (Simon Fennix) asked the question Atlanta Hawks! Where's our Superstar? ? Well, I have an answer right here and it will be sooner than you think Hawks fans!  The Atlanta Hawks will definitely be in the top 3 picks in the NBA draft this June and it's one player they fit what they are trying to do who they should exclusively focus on, DeAndre Ayton! Coach Mike Budenholzer comes from the Greg Popovich tree of coaching, so he has built his teams according to that system. Ayton is a gentle giant that could be the Tim Duncan of a team with the right pieces around him. Atlanta could use him to add to a young, solid frontcourt that already includes John Collins and Taurean Prince. If you add Ayton, that's a frontcourt that could develop nicely and give Atlanta a bright future. The Hawks last true big man (7'0 our taller) was Dikembe Mutombo, but with Ayton you have versatility, scoring (20.1 PPG), crashing...

We haven't drafted one technically in years (though we acquired Our all-time great Dominique Wilkins via trade in the 82 draft). Wilkins has been the only true star we've had, and Atlanta didn't even do right by him.
