Atlanta Hawks!!!!!! Where's our Super Star?????

We haven't drafted one technically in years (though we acquired Our all-time great Dominique Wilkins via trade in the 82 draft). Wilkins has been the only true star we've had, and Atlanta didn't even do right by him.
We traded him for a worthless player who didn't even want to be here. From that point on, we haven't had a guy to go out and take over on the court since.

I loved (and still do) my Mookie and Smitty backcourt in the late 90's, (and they were great and did more than a great job) but they weren't super stars that struck fear in opposing teams.
What I mean is they couldn't single handedly pick a team apart  (though as a duo, they were an underrated tough two).

We've had players (at one point in their careers be super stars) on the decline that came to play here. I was on the Joe Johnson bandwagon, however, I'm not certain what happened during his tenure as a Hawk, as the last couple of seasons, he didn't seem to play all that great.

We've seen just about every other team get some type of super star (majority through the draft) in some form and fashion - and those teams like the Hawks that haven't,  YOU NEED TO WRITING AN ARTICLE AS WELL!!!!

I ask you Atlanta, what’s going on????
Are you just settling as a franchise? Do you not want to get to the finals??? Though it's been a while, even the Braves have won a world series, and the Falcons got to the Super Bowl twice. Help me out here!!!! Please!

The Falcons drafting a running back could be a smart move

The Atlanta Falcons are bringing in running back prospects to interview and work out for the upcoming NFL draft starting with Georgia running back Nick Chubb. It's something I definitely agree  with as a fan and an analyst.

What will the Atlanta Falcons do at #26?

The Atlanta Falcons are two years post-Super Bowl appearance and they still have a nice window to return there. They have some holes to fill on both sides of the ball, whether it's to find a starter or to add depth at key positions. I think they could use the #26 pick in the first round of the draft to add depth at defensive tackle, right guard, tight end or free safety. Grady Jarrett needs a big body on the other side of him, with Dontari Poe hitting free agency Atlanta has to get a space eater/gap filler that helps in the run game. Austin Hooper has been a good addition to the Falcons offense, but still needs to grow and Atlanta needs reliable hands in the red zone. Wes Schweitzer has not been consistent and has seen some bad snaps that could land him as a role player. This could be the position the Falcons could use the 26th pick but that still remains to be seen. The Falcons need depth at the safety with the team releasing Ishmael and R...

Smitty's Top 10 NBA players heading into the 2018-2019 season

The NBA has some of the best athletes in sports but when it comes to playing basketball, some players stand out and know how to take their game to another level. Here are my top 10 players that can do just that, play at another level.  1. LeBron James SF Los Angeles Lakers  2017-2018 Stats: 27.5 ppg, 8.6 rpg, 9.1 apg   The king lived up to his name this season as he carried the Cavs to a 4th straight finals appearance. He played in all 82 games (first time in his career) and endured a trade, so he's still #1. 2. Kevin Durant SF Golden State Warriors 2017-2018 Stats:  26.4 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 5.4 apg  The now 2-time NBA champion and Finals MVP also put on a show this past season as he excelled on the defensive side of the ball, something he isn't known for throughout his career.  3. Anthony Davis C New Orleans Pelicans 2017-2018 Stats: 28.1 ppg, 11.1 rpg, 2.3 apg  This young stud is only getting better with ...
