Smitty's Top 10 NFL Pass Rushers

I'm always putting myself to the test when it comes to top 10 list but it's something I love to do and this time I'm going after the top 10 pass NFL pass rushers.  Former Patriots great Willie McGinest put out his top 10, so I'm going to put my list to the test against one of the greats. Here we go!

1. Von Miller OLB Denver Broncos

Miller is still the best in the league but Aaron Donald is closing fast!  Miller's ability to change the game makes him undeniably #1! Bradley Chubb' s addition could have him chasing the sack record in 2018.

2. Aaron Donald DT LA Rams

He is one of the most versatile Defensive linemen in the NFL that could play in any scheme and his uncanny ability to dominate the line of scrimmage makes him scary against the run also.

3. Khalil Mack OLB/DE Oakland Raiders

Mack could easily contend for that top spot but his secondary mates made it harder for him to be effective last season. He could also take over a game with his speed and power at the point of attack.

4. Everson Griffin DE Minnesota Vikings

Everson is one of the most consistent pass rushers in the NFL as he recorded a sack in 8 straight games to start last season.

5. Chandler Jones DE/ OLB Arizona Cardinals

Jones led the NFL in sacks last season so it's a must he gets in the top 5 on my list. He has been a blessing for the Cardinals since coming over from the Patriots. He is only 28 with 64 sacks (28 with Arizona) in 6 seasons, he is destined for greatness.

6. J.J. Watt DE Houston Texans

Watt has been slowed by injuries the past couple of years but his impact on the field is still undeniable. If he can stay healthy, Houston has a duo that could put them in contention for a ring.

7. Cam Jordan DE New Orleans Saints

Cam is one of the more underrated ends in the league because of the Saints struggles in recent years.  He finished 4th in the NFL, but his impact was much greater.

8. Calais Campbell DL Jacksonville Jaguars

Campbell led the league most of the season and finished with a career high 14.5 in 2018. His veteran leadership helped the young Jags get to the AFC championship, but look for them to head back in that same direction.

9. Cameron Wake OLB Miami Dolphins

Cameron Wake has been the heart and soul of the Dolphins for a while now, but at 36 it's time for him to groom his replacement. He ended the season with double digit sacks for the 5th time, so he still has something left in the tank.

10. Joey Bosa DE LA Chargers

This pick is based off potential and this kid seems like he will be one of top edge rushers by the time his career is done. He missed 4 games his rookie season but he showed the league why he was worth the wait. He has 23 sacks his first 2 seasons.

Honorable mention:

DeMarcus Lawrence DE Dallas Cowboys

Lawrence is finally coming into his own after a big 2018 campaign and if he can capitalize on last season skies the limit for this kid.

That's my list so tell me what you would do differently with your list?

Smitty's Top 10 NBA players heading into the 2018-2019 season

The NBA has some of the best athletes in sports but when it comes to playing basketball, some players stand out and know how to take their game to another level. Here are my top 10 players that can do just that, play at another level.  1. LeBron James SF Los Angeles Lakers  2017-2018 Stats: 27.5 ppg, 8.6 rpg, 9.1 apg   The king lived up to his name this season as he carried the Cavs to a 4th straight finals appearance. He played in all 82 games (first time in his career) and endured a trade, so he's still #1. 2. Kevin Durant SF Golden State Warriors 2017-2018 Stats:  26.4 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 5.4 apg  The now 2-time NBA champion and Finals MVP also put on a show this past season as he excelled on the defensive side of the ball, something he isn't known for throughout his career.  3. Anthony Davis C New Orleans Pelicans 2017-2018 Stats: 28.1 ppg, 11.1 rpg, 2.3 apg  This young stud is only getting better with time, he lost his running

The Falcons drafting a running back could be a smart move

The Atlanta Falcons are bringing in running back prospects to interview and work out for the upcoming NFL draft starting with Georgia running back Nick Chubb. It's something I definitely agree  with as a fan and an analyst.
