Falcons sign QB Matt Ryan to $150 million dollar record deal

Matt Ryan, 32, has made history once again as he becomes the first player in NFL history to make $30 million annually and be guaranteed $100 million dollars in a contract. It's unchartered waters right now but look for Packers QB Aaron Rodgers to go above that mark set by Ryan and the Falcons.

The deal is for $150 million in total and it is a 5-year extension which ensures that Ryan will likely finish his career in an Atlanta uniform.

Ryan is two seasons removed from carrying the Falcons to their 2nd Super Bowl in franchise history and he also won MVP, also a first in Falcons history. He threw a franchise record 38 touchdown passes for 4,944 yards with a 117.1 QB rating.

He surpasses Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins ($84 million guaranteed) who signed a new deal this past summer.

The only question that this ponders is will they have enough money to pay their superstar receiver Julio Jones who is due soon also. Jones has stirred the pot with a social media storm at the end of last month.

LeBron James SF Los Angeles Lakers  2017-2018 Stats: 27.5 ppg, 8.6 rpg, 9.1 apg   The king lived up to his name this season as he carried the Cavs to a 4th straight finals appearance. He played in all 82 games (first time in his career) and endured a trade, so he's still #1. 2. Kevin Durant SF Golden State Warriors 2017-2018 Stats:  26.4 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 5.4 apg  The now 2-time NBA champion and Finals MVP also put on a show this past season as he excelled on the defensive side of the ball, something he isn't known for throughout his career.  3. Anthony Davis C New Orleans Pelicans 2017-2018 Stats: 28.1 ppg, 11.1 rpg, 2.3 apg  This young stud is only getting better with time, he lost his running
