Top landing spots for Josh Gordon if he's traded or released

Article by Antwon "Smitty" Smith

Josh Gordon's days in Cleveland are numbered and if Cleveland wants to get any value for they have time send him off ASAP. There are rumoured teams interested, but can they keep Gordon clean long enough to get the production that's he's capable of giving. His skill set is one of the best in the league and here are some teams that could really use his help right now:

New York Jets

Rookie Sam Darnold could use a receiver of Gordon's caliber to help in his adjustment to the pro game. Gordon's size, wingspan and speed would help out a young receiving core than needs a deep threat.

New England Patriots

Tom Brady lost a couple of his weapons in Amendola and Mitchell this past off-season, and he's needs a true deep threat something he's not had since Randy Moss almost a decade ago. This move could also help Gordon get around a crowd with great leadership skills and strict discipline.

Washington Redskins

Washington needs major help for Alex Smith at wideout and if they want open up their playbook, Gordon would be the perfect fit to help do so. Former all-pro running back Adrian Peterson could benefit and increase his production.

Dallas Cowboys

Dak Prescott needs a legit #1 receiver after losing Dez Bryant after he was released by Dallas. Not having that go-to-receiver puts major pressure on Ezekiel Elliott, which makes their offense one dimensional. They are known for handling troubled players well, so from that standpoint it also makes it a good fit.

Arizona Cardinals

Coach Steve Wilks has a rookie in Josh Rosen who needs targets in the near future and Gordon's attributes would be a nice replacement for Larry Fitzgerald, who may call it a career after the 2018 season. Wilks also a disciplinarian could also help Gordon get back on the right track.

These would be my teams that could use Gordon's services,  but that's only of he can finally straighten up. Look for these teams to also give up little to nothing to acquire him, so look for him to be moved pretty quickly.

Smitty's Top 10 NBA players heading into the 2018-2019 season

The NBA has some of the best athletes in sports but when it comes to playing basketball, some players stand out and know how to take their game to another level. Here are my top 10 players that can do just that, play at another level.  1. LeBron James SF Los Angeles Lakers  2017-2018 Stats: 27.5 ppg, 8.6 rpg, 9.1 apg   The king lived up to his name this season as he carried the Cavs to a 4th straight finals appearance. He played in all 82 games (first time in his career) and endured a trade, so he's still #1. 2. Kevin Durant SF Golden State Warriors 2017-2018 Stats:  26.4 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 5.4 apg  The now 2-time NBA champion and Finals MVP also put on a show this past season as he excelled on the defensive side of the ball, something he isn't known for throughout his career.  3. Anthony Davis C New Orleans Pelicans 2017-2018 Stats: 28.1 ppg, 11.1 rpg, 2.3 apg  This young stud is only getting better with time, he lost his running

The Falcons drafting a running back could be a smart move

The Atlanta Falcons are bringing in running back prospects to interview and work out for the upcoming NFL draft starting with Georgia running back Nick Chubb. It's something I definitely agree  with as a fan and an analyst.
