LeSean McCoy legal troubles get worse after home invasion in Atlanta

Article by Antwon "Smitty" Smith

LeSean McCoy is about to head into his 10th season in the NFL but it's not going to be the hardest hit her takes this season. Atlanta authorities were called to his Alpharetta home Tuesday morning after an apparent home invasion while his ex-girlfriend Delicia Cordon and her cousin were at home.

A statement obtained by ABC News, it said a male entered the home with no sign of forced entry, pistol whipped Cordon and her female cousin demanded jewelry and other specific items.

The statement goes on to say that the items demanded were the same ones that McCoy was seeking after the relationship ended but Cordon never returned them.

McCoy and his former girlfriend have been going through legal troubles for well over a year. Cordon was expected in court Tuesday morning for an eviction hearing. Cordon had been jailed once since living in the home, but McCoy dropped the charges citing he felt bad for her, said his attorney Jacoby Hudson. Later Cordon was said to try to extort money from Mr. McCoy, says Hudson.

Cordon's attorney opened up about the investigation to reporters saying McCoy may possibly be behind the home invasion.

Shady McCoy is in Miami and hasn't been present in the home for a while. He installed camera systems but Cordon removed them and she still refused to leave.

The NFL is following the matter very closely after a post on Instagram showed graphic signs of domestic violence.  The post also goes on to accuse him of child abuse, animal cruelty and using performance enhancing drugs. All violate NFL policies. McCoy is still claiming his innocence in this ordeal:

The Bills have spoken and kept in contact with McCoy and they are working with the NFL to "working to gather more information."

Smitty's Top 10 NBA players heading into the 2018-2019 season

The NBA has some of the best athletes in sports but when it comes to playing basketball, some players stand out and know how to take their game to another level. Here are my top 10 players that can do just that, play at another level.  1. LeBron James SF Los Angeles Lakers  2017-2018 Stats: 27.5 ppg, 8.6 rpg, 9.1 apg   The king lived up to his name this season as he carried the Cavs to a 4th straight finals appearance. He played in all 82 games (first time in his career) and endured a trade, so he's still #1. 2. Kevin Durant SF Golden State Warriors 2017-2018 Stats:  26.4 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 5.4 apg  The now 2-time NBA champion and Finals MVP also put on a show this past season as he excelled on the defensive side of the ball, something he isn't known for throughout his career.  3. Anthony Davis C New Orleans Pelicans 2017-2018 Stats: 28.1 ppg, 11.1 rpg, 2.3 apg  This young stud is only getting better with ...
