LeBron James to sign max deal with the Lakers

Well we have been hearing the rumors about LeBron taking his talents to the West Coast, and now it's become reality as he will sign a free agent deal of 4 years/ $154 million with the Lakers. It will be James 2nd and probably final time leaving his home state of Ohio. LeBron spent the last five seasons with the Cavs, bringing the franchise their first NBA title as he promised. Cavs owner Dan Gilbert and LeBron haven't been on good terms since he left for Miami back in 2010.

Now both can get a clean slate and go their separate ways. James will likely have at least another max player beside him in the purple and gold, whether it's Kawhi Leonard it's yet to be determined.

LeBron 33, is coming off one of his best statistical seasons in his career (15th season) where he played all 82 games last season enroute to an eighth straight finals appearance. He carried a team that was thrown together at the trade deadline but managed to help hold things together.

He will be facing the same type of situation with a young Lakers team that will have a slew of youth on their roster. Kyle Kuzma and Lonzo Ball had great rookie campaigns, and Brandon Ingram has shown flashes of the player he can evolve into. Only problem is that 2 or maybe all of them may be on the trading block, to accompany the second max player (Kawhi Leonard) via trade.

It will be up to Magic Johnson to finish putting together a roster that can contend with now division rival Golden State and reclaim the glory of the Lakers. It will be one hell of a ride and it will be worth every second.
