Top 10 NBA championship teams of All-Time

One of the hardest debates in sports is matching up championship teams in any sport, and who would win if they faced off with their championship rosters. Well I'm going to give you my top 10 NBA teams of all-time, and there will/should definitely be a lot of feedback because every fan has a different perspective or opinion. Here's my top 10 teams :

1. '95-'96 Chicago Bulls

These 72-9 Bulls bullied the NBA into submission as this was the start of their second championship run. This team was strong on both ends of the floor, which I think gives them the edge over anyone.

2. '85-'86 Boston Celtics

Boston"s '86 team led by Parish, Bird and McHale may have been the deepest team in NBA history. They have All-Star caliber players like Bill Walton, Dennis Johnson and Sam Vincent coming off the pine. If the 1996 Bulls needed competition, this Celtics team would give them a strong 7-game series.

3. '86-'87 Los Angeles Lakers

The struggle for power during the 1980's made the second and third choice easy for me. This team was super talented, led by Magic Johnson the '"Showtime" put style and grace in playing basketball. They made it look easy as they would win 3 during this decade.

4. '00-'01 Los Angeles Lakers

Kobe Bryant made a case for this team and I agree with him. I think this version of Phil Jackson's triangle offense was the most dominant offensively as Shaq was at the top of his game. A young Kobe Bryant also showcasing his bright future as they ran through the playoffs 15-1. They could make a case for the top 3 easily.

5. '88-'89 Detroit Pistons

The "Bad Boy" Pistons put a hurting on the NBA with tough defense and strong rebounding. This bad of misfits would intimidate their opponents by banging them on the boards and trash talking, a perfect blend for a championship team. Their bench consisted of Vinnie Johnson, Adrian Dantley, Mark Aguirre and James Edwards, which could have put together another team, anymore questions?

6. '16-'17 Golden State Warriors

Golden State was coming off a 73-9 season and disappointing Finals loss, so they added All-Star Kevin Durant and the rest is history. Durant added the killer instinct they needed to get past one of the greatest players ever in LeBron James. They are currently on a run as we speak so look out because we could be watching greatness folks.

7. '82-'83 Philadelphia 76ers

This team may be the most underrated of all-time, but check out their path to the title and you will see the greatness of this team. They were led by Moses Malone who put on one of the most dominant performances by a big man in NBA Finals history. Dr. J and Andrew Toney would add the flare to this often overlooked Championship squad that defeated the Lakers who were in their prime.

8. '06-'07 San Antonio Spurs

If you want basketball the old school way then this Spurs team was the perfect example. Precision passing, shooting and timely defense made this team deadly. They lured to you into slowing up the game, then lock you down on the defensive end. Tim Duncan was still in the prime of his career and putting an MVP Performance hurting on the Cavaliers in the Finals.

9. '11-'12 Miami Heat

LeBron James finally gets his long awaited ring and he did it with ease as the Heat took down OKC. James and Miami were clicking on all cylinders, after a heartbreaking loss to the Dallas Mavericks the year before, Miami showed the entire NBA the dominace they could possess at full strength. They would make it to four consecutive Finals (2-2) but could not get over the San Antonio hump a second time.

10. '15-'16 Cleveland Cavaliers

I know you are saying I've lost my mind, but history is history no matter how you look at it and this team fought to the end. Down 3-1 LeBron and Kyrie led one of the greatest comebacks in sports history with smothering defense and knocking down clutch shots. LeBron brings home the NBA title he promised his city.

The Falcons drafting a running back could be a smart move

The Atlanta Falcons are bringing in running back prospects to interview and work out for the upcoming NFL draft starting with Georgia running back Nick Chubb. It's something I definitely agree  with as a fan and an analyst.

What will the Atlanta Falcons do at #26?

The Atlanta Falcons are two years post-Super Bowl appearance and they still have a nice window to return there. They have some holes to fill on both sides of the ball, whether it's to find a starter or to add depth at key positions. I think they could use the #26 pick in the first round of the draft to add depth at defensive tackle, right guard, tight end or free safety. Grady Jarrett needs a big body on the other side of him, with Dontari Poe hitting free agency Atlanta has to get a space eater/gap filler that helps in the run game. Austin Hooper has been a good addition to the Falcons offense, but still needs to grow and Atlanta needs reliable hands in the red zone. Wes Schweitzer has not been consistent and has seen some bad snaps that could land him as a role player. This could be the position the Falcons could use the 26th pick but that still remains to be seen. The Falcons need depth at the safety with the team releasing Ishmael and R...

Smitty's Top 10 NBA players heading into the 2018-2019 season

The NBA has some of the best athletes in sports but when it comes to playing basketball, some players stand out and know how to take their game to another level. Here are my top 10 players that can do just that, play at another level.  1. LeBron James SF Los Angeles Lakers  2017-2018 Stats: 27.5 ppg, 8.6 rpg, 9.1 apg   The king lived up to his name this season as he carried the Cavs to a 4th straight finals appearance. He played in all 82 games (first time in his career) and endured a trade, so he's still #1. 2. Kevin Durant SF Golden State Warriors 2017-2018 Stats:  26.4 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 5.4 apg  The now 2-time NBA champion and Finals MVP also put on a show this past season as he excelled on the defensive side of the ball, something he isn't known for throughout his career.  3. Anthony Davis C New Orleans Pelicans 2017-2018 Stats: 28.1 ppg, 11.1 rpg, 2.3 apg  This young stud is only getting better with ...
