Mitchell James Richmond.
One of the great players of the good old 90's, Richmond started in Golden State as a part of the short lived RunTMC (Tim Hardaway, Mitch Richmond, And Chris Mullin).
He was drafted in 1988 and was the 5th pick of the Draft. To add there were a lot of great players in that draft and I'd like to shout out 2 that were over looked::
John Starks and Avery Johnson...
He came out blazing averaging 22 a night and Taking rookie of the year for 1988. He was explosive to the basket and had a great outside shot. He created off the dribble and did even better playing off the ball. In the final year of Run TMC, all 3 averaged over 20 points a game with Richmond being 2nd in scoring.
His stint was cut short, as He was trade to Sacramento.

The Majority of us remember these years the most. He changed
jersey numbers, and arguably is the best 2 guard to "don" the number
2. He was a great offensive player and still had moves to the basket, but we
recognize his shooting ability a tad bit more during his run in Sacramento.
During his time in Sacramento, he accomplished a lot and made a name for
himself. He was the cover man for my 2nd favorite NBA Live game of all times,
Live 97. He led the Kings in scoring all 7 years during his tenure. He also won
the 95 all-star MVP with 23 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists. OH did I mention
he came off the BENCH?
13 straight starters had won prior to this and Mitch Richmond was the 8th player to do it.

He had a short stint in Washington as well. He played fairly decent, though his numbers were nowhere near what we were accustomed too. As I always say, Father time is Kind to no one! He still had a good outside shoot, but he wasn't the guy unfortunately at that time to put the team on his back. HOWEVER, that's not to say that on any night he could not compete!
He signed with the Lakers for the final year of his career 01
- 02 season, and of course was a role player, but what a smart move by the (at
that time, future hall of famer). He sailed off into the sunset with a ring,
and 12 years with a trip to the hall of fame: which He rightfully deserves and
definitely had/has earned.
