"Haters gonna "Hate"

Flacco and Rothlisberger seem to be "Hating” on the COMPETITION!

These are some of the stories and headlines that I've seen so far! If the stories are true, I'm at a loss as far as leadership and confidence amongst the 2 QB's.

Rothlisberger has hinted at retirement during last season. If you are GM, what are you to do? Well I tell you this, the exact same thing they did in this year’s DRAFT. You find the future replacement! In this case, Rudolph is the heir apparent after Rothlisberger.

In Flacco's case, while as far as I know, there were hints at retirement. However, like Rothlisberger, there was sporadic play last year. His numbers were decent, but we've seen this situation, and others have performed better in the same scenario.

In both cases, both guys are rookies. You don't have some Flash in a pants seasoned quarterback coming in to potentially replace you immediately! Obviously that's their job, and it should be their goal, BUT Understand, that's life and the way sports work.

Show that you're a leader. Show that you're not afraid of competition! Most importantly, don't be afraid to pass the torch. Use this situation as motivation. Show the world and the fans that you still got it, and that you are amongst the elite in the league.

Doing what you guys are doing now, only allows for people and analysts to put QUESTION MARKS and ASTERISKS by your Names!

The Falcons drafting a running back could be a smart move

The Atlanta Falcons are bringing in running back prospects to interview and work out for the upcoming NFL draft starting with Georgia running back Nick Chubb. It's something I definitely agree  with as a fan and an analyst.

What will the Atlanta Falcons do at #26?

The Atlanta Falcons are two years post-Super Bowl appearance and they still have a nice window to return there. They have some holes to fill on both sides of the ball, whether it's to find a starter or to add depth at key positions. I think they could use the #26 pick in the first round of the draft to add depth at defensive tackle, right guard, tight end or free safety. Grady Jarrett needs a big body on the other side of him, with Dontari Poe hitting free agency Atlanta has to get a space eater/gap filler that helps in the run game. Austin Hooper has been a good addition to the Falcons offense, but still needs to grow and Atlanta needs reliable hands in the red zone. Wes Schweitzer has not been consistent and has seen some bad snaps that could land him as a role player. This could be the position the Falcons could use the 26th pick but that still remains to be seen. The Falcons need depth at the safety with the team releasing Ishmael and R...

Smitty's Top 10 NBA players heading into the 2018-2019 season

The NBA has some of the best athletes in sports but when it comes to playing basketball, some players stand out and know how to take their game to another level. Here are my top 10 players that can do just that, play at another level.  1. LeBron James SF Los Angeles Lakers  2017-2018 Stats: 27.5 ppg, 8.6 rpg, 9.1 apg   The king lived up to his name this season as he carried the Cavs to a 4th straight finals appearance. He played in all 82 games (first time in his career) and endured a trade, so he's still #1. 2. Kevin Durant SF Golden State Warriors 2017-2018 Stats:  26.4 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 5.4 apg  The now 2-time NBA champion and Finals MVP also put on a show this past season as he excelled on the defensive side of the ball, something he isn't known for throughout his career.  3. Anthony Davis C New Orleans Pelicans 2017-2018 Stats: 28.1 ppg, 11.1 rpg, 2.3 apg  This young stud is only getting better with ...
