2018 NBA Finals Game #1 5/31/18

Despite a Game 1 Loss in Golden State, James played his ass off.

I am impressed and I think he gave his all out there. My only gripe is: I still believe he was too passive in the game.

Sometimes, that team ball mentality has to go away.

In the past, I was critical of James for not taking bigger shots and attacking the basket. In this game, I not afraid to say that he "shut me" up and brought intensity in Game 1.

James was effectively efficient thru out the game. 51pts 8reb and 8ast and he played 48 of the 53 minutes as the game went into overtime.

Outstanding game by LeBron James and I personally think He should (provided he continues to play as he did in Game 1) be the 2nd candidate to win MVP on a losing team.

Poor JR Smith. I am clueless as far as what you ate at half time. There is "no" way you can convince me that Smith was not on something. He somehow conceived it in his head that The Cavaliers were ahead.

Again, not only did anyone from Golden State chase you, but your teammate and leader screamed at you to get him the ball!

With this said, James can't be held for this loss. Too many miscues by other teammates and hesitation in shot selection led to their loss.

Let's see what awaits in game 2.

Is Dennis Schroder's time up in Atlanta?

Dennis Schroder's future in Atlanta has been in question for a couple of years now, but his upcoming meeting with team executive's will give us the answers to those questions on the 24-year-old's stance with the team.

Smitty's Top 10 NBA players heading into the 2018-2019 season

The NBA has some of the best athletes in sports but when it comes to playing basketball, some players stand out and know how to take their game to another level. Here are my top 10 players that can do just that, play at another level.  1. LeBron James SF Los Angeles Lakers  2017-2018 Stats: 27.5 ppg, 8.6 rpg, 9.1 apg   The king lived up to his name this season as he carried the Cavs to a 4th straight finals appearance. He played in all 82 games (first time in his career) and endured a trade, so he's still #1. 2. Kevin Durant SF Golden State Warriors 2017-2018 Stats:  26.4 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 5.4 apg  The now 2-time NBA champion and Finals MVP also put on a show this past season as he excelled on the defensive side of the ball, something he isn't known for throughout his career.  3. Anthony Davis C New Orleans Pelicans 2017-2018 Stats: 28.1 ppg, 11.1 rpg, 2.3 apg  This young stud is only getting better with time, he lost his running

The Falcons drafting a running back could be a smart move

The Atlanta Falcons are bringing in running back prospects to interview and work out for the upcoming NFL draft starting with Georgia running back Nick Chubb. It's something I definitely agree  with as a fan and an analyst.
