Cowboys Tight End Jason Witten retires; Will join Monday Night Football

The time has come for the Dallas Cowboys to bid farewell to one of the organization's most classiest players, Jason Witten who is retiring after a 15-year career in the NFL.

Witten is the Cowboys all time leader in receptions (1,152) and receiving yards (12,448) but it will be hard for the Cowboys to replace him in terms of leadership.

The writing has been on the wall for a while now, from rumors that his alma mater University of Tennessee wanted to interview him for a head coaching job to Broadcasting for networks.

The 11-time Pro Bowl selection will however become a part of the Monday Night Football crew beginning later this year. Witten has the type of personality that will transition well and win over fans quickly.
