Could Bradley Chubb go #1?

The Cleveland Browns have a lot of decisions to make between now and week one. They have started off the new league year with a bang by acquiring needs at the skill positions. It still leaves the question who will the Browns take with the number one pick in the draft?

It's getting a bit cloudy on which player the Browns will take because, they have traded for QB Tyrod Taylor (Hue Jackson said publicly he was the hands down stater), signed Carlos Hyde and acquired receiver Jarvis Landry.

Which has me thinking, will the Browns go defense at #1? It wouldn't be a bad idea since they have needs on that side of the ball as well.

Bradley Chubb could be a can't miss pick that could line up opposite of last year's first overall pick Myles Garrett. It would give the Browns a pair of bookends for probably the next 4-5 seasons.

Chubb who has strong football ties (Cousin of Georgia running back Nick Chubb and Brother Brandon is currently on Detroit Lions roster) and maybe the most athletic of the entire family. He won 2 of the top defensive awards in college football (Hendricks & Nagurski awards) in 2017 and rightfully so after, accounting for 15 sack's and 34 tackles for losses the last two seasons. Chubb has 4.6 speed which is pretty fast off the edge and his motor is stop which what scouts and GM's like to see on tape. His 6'4 frame is also a plus in the run game, when facing double teams.

Cleveland may get offers for the top pick, but if they are smart, they would take him at #1 if Barkley is out of the conversation. One name that may not be is Sam Darnold, they have him high in their board even though he may be picked before #4.

Could you imagine two athletic ends such as Garrett and Chubb causing havoc up front, getting after the QB? Yea it's pretty scary if you think about it.

This is just another move that could help the Browns avoid another disastrous season, because it's time to turn the ship and become competitive. The fans deserve it!
