Chicago Bears and Khalil Mack agree to record setting $141 million dollar deal

Article by Antwon "Smitty" Smith

It didn't take long for the Bears to lock down the newest member of their team as Khalil Mack signs a record 6yr/$141 million dollar extension, which makes him the highest paid defender in NFL history. Mack overtakes Rams Defensive Tackle Aaron Donald who signed a 6yr/$135 million dollar extension with Los Angeles on Friday.

Mack 27, was traded from the Oakland Raiders Saturday in a blockbuster deal that sent 5 draft picks to the Raiders (2019 1st & 6th, 2020 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 5th) .

Mack became the first player to be named
to the Pro Bowl at two positions in 2016

Khalil Mack was scheduled to make $13.85 million in 2018 (Now $23.5 million) , but now the former defensive player of the year will make a whopping $155 million over a seven year span. He is one of the premier pass rushers in the league,  racking up 40.5 sacks Hua first four seasons in the league.

The Bears paid a steep price and mortgage their immediate future on it, but did they overpay for Khalil Mack? Only time will tell.

Smitty's Top 10 NBA players heading into the 2018-2019 season

The NBA has some of the best athletes in sports but when it comes to playing basketball, some players stand out and know how to take their game to another level. Here are my top 10 players that can do just that, play at another level.  1. LeBron James SF Los Angeles Lakers  2017-2018 Stats: 27.5 ppg, 8.6 rpg, 9.1 apg   The king lived up to his name this season as he carried the Cavs to a 4th straight finals appearance. He played in all 82 games (first time in his career) and endured a trade, so he's still #1. 2. Kevin Durant SF Golden State Warriors 2017-2018 Stats:  26.4 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 5.4 apg  The now 2-time NBA champion and Finals MVP also put on a show this past season as he excelled on the defensive side of the ball, something he isn't known for throughout his career.  3. Anthony Davis C New Orleans Pelicans 2017-2018 Stats: 28.1 ppg, 11.1 rpg, 2.3 apg  This young stud is only getting better with time, he lost his running

The Falcons drafting a running back could be a smart move

The Atlanta Falcons are bringing in running back prospects to interview and work out for the upcoming NFL draft starting with Georgia running back Nick Chubb. It's something I definitely agree  with as a fan and an analyst.
