Game 2 NBA Finals: Thoughts

Image result for lebron james

As I've stated earlier, I'm very critical of Lebron James. I get tired of the G word and the comparison of the real 23 and so on.

I said it in the 1st blog and I will say it on this one. This game 2 loss was not his fault. While not dropping 50 points, he more than a well round game.

Lebron put 29pts, 9reb, and 13ast, just shy of the triple double. Hellafied numbers by the Cleveland super star. He came prepared to play, and based on his performance I'm even giving him the triple double.

James was demoralized coming into this game. Game 1 was a statement game, and to lose it in that fashion took a small spark out his game tonight

Not only does he have too, but I'm confident James will bring the force in game 3. We saw him go down in 2 games to Boston [we know the Warriors are a far superior team] and he rallied his teammates to a big win.

Recapping what I said, James has played extremely well through the 1st two games and I believe he will finish this series strong. I just have to reiterate this one thing I've always said about him.

He has to take more shots. He has to be selfish! In the past, many of us have been critical of Super Stars that did this, but many of the stars didn't (not all) have that ability to attack like he has.
Otherwise, the series is going to be a coast for Golden State.

The Falcons drafting a running back could be a smart move

The Atlanta Falcons are bringing in running back prospects to interview and work out for the upcoming NFL draft starting with Georgia running back Nick Chubb. It's something I definitely agree  with as a fan and an analyst.

Smitty's Top 10 NBA players heading into the 2018-2019 season

The NBA has some of the best athletes in sports but when it comes to playing basketball, some players stand out and know how to take their game to another level. Here are my top 10 players that can do just that, play at another level.  1. LeBron James SF Los Angeles Lakers  2017-2018 Stats: 27.5 ppg, 8.6 rpg, 9.1 apg   The king lived up to his name this season as he carried the Cavs to a 4th straight finals appearance. He played in all 82 games (first time in his career) and endured a trade, so he's still #1. 2. Kevin Durant SF Golden State Warriors 2017-2018 Stats:  26.4 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 5.4 apg  The now 2-time NBA champion and Finals MVP also put on a show this past season as he excelled on the defensive side of the ball, something he isn't known for throughout his career.  3. Anthony Davis C New Orleans Pelicans 2017-2018 Stats: 28.1 ppg, 11.1 rpg, 2.3 apg  This young stud is only getting better with ...
