The NFL still missing the point about Anthem Protests

The NFL is digging themselves deeper into a hole when it comes to national anthem protest and it will only get uglier as time goes on.

The new rule change in regards to the national anthem is that players who don't feel comfortable standing for the anthem they will be allowed to stay in the locker room until pre-game festivities are done. It seems that the NFL owners think it's a viable solution to a problem that's cost players their jobs, and also causing a rift between players and fans who love the game of football.

Their are players such as Giants Defensive Tackle who took to social media (Twitter) to express his thoughts after negative feedback from an NFL fan:

"Can’t look kids in the eye anymore and tell that they can be whatever they want to be. Has to now be you can be whatever they allow you to be and to the level they want you to be that at."
"It’s crazy to think that they think ratings dropped because of the kneeling. 😂😂 I can promise you it was wayyyy more people ACTUALLY not watching due to the support of the kneeling than the ones who opposed. Most of those TV games were actually terrible tbh...

NFL owners and SOME fans are missing the whole point of players kneeling to bring light to social injustice on a big stage while America is watching. It's true that fans spend their hard earned money to attend these events and buy merchandise, but so do the fans that deal with social injustice on a daily basis. It's not only the African-American culture, it's ANY of the minorities such as Jewish and Mexican-American communities.

One half of the "Mike and the Mad Dog" show, host Mike Francesa took to social media also:

"Once again the NFL shows no backbone. No courage, no conviction. This once great league has become a disgrace."
The owners have to get this right soon because instead of the players hurting their bottom line, owners will hurt their own bottom line by not standing behind the players and fans who are putting billions of dollars in their pockets and game annually.

This issue is going away no time soon because it's a political issue that has to do with the "Freedom of speech" and the constitutional rights of every American citizen of the United States.

Smitty's Top 10 NBA players heading into the 2018-2019 season

The NBA has some of the best athletes in sports but when it comes to playing basketball, some players stand out and know how to take their game to another level. Here are my top 10 players that can do just that, play at another level.  1. LeBron James SF Los Angeles Lakers  2017-2018 Stats: 27.5 ppg, 8.6 rpg, 9.1 apg   The king lived up to his name this season as he carried the Cavs to a 4th straight finals appearance. He played in all 82 games (first time in his career) and endured a trade, so he's still #1. 2. Kevin Durant SF Golden State Warriors 2017-2018 Stats:  26.4 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 5.4 apg  The now 2-time NBA champion and Finals MVP also put on a show this past season as he excelled on the defensive side of the ball, something he isn't known for throughout his career.  3. Anthony Davis C New Orleans Pelicans 2017-2018 Stats: 28.1 ppg, 11.1 rpg, 2.3 apg  This young stud is only getting better with time, he lost his running

The Falcons drafting a running back could be a smart move

The Atlanta Falcons are bringing in running back prospects to interview and work out for the upcoming NFL draft starting with Georgia running back Nick Chubb. It's something I definitely agree  with as a fan and an analyst.
