Why the Cleveland Browns should seriously consider Derwin James at #4

The Cleveland Browns made a splash before the new league year by adding key elements on offense, which included Tyrod Taylor and Jarvis Landry, then adding Carlos Hyde via free agency.
They also made some solid picks on defense by adding veteran players, but there is one player rising up the board they should seriously take a look at, Derwin James.

James is an athletic freak of nature that could be a game changer on defense for the Browns, imagine Julio Jones playing defense, yes that kind of athlete. The Browns need a leader on defense and James' playing style and personality fits they mold.

The Browns didn't close out games last year because of poor play in the secondary, but James' ability to play in the box against the run (84 tackles, 5.5 TFL) or drop back in coverage (11 passes defended, 2 interceptions) to cover tight ends, running backs or slot receivers (4.47 40 yard dash) could make a huge difference in that regard.

He could also a vocal leader in the locker room and what coach would not want that infectious trait on their roster. When he sat out 2016 at FSU with a knee injury, you would see Derwin still urging him teammates on from the sidelines..

There are some things that can't be taught and love for the game of football is in this kid's DNA, so while trying to solidify your roster Cleveland make sure this player gets a look because he's what your team has been lacking for a while a defensive playmaker!

Smitty's Top 10 NFL Pass Rushers

I'm always putting myself to the test when it comes to top 10 list but it's something I love to do and this time I'm going after the top 10 pass NFL pass rushers.  Former Patriots great Willie McGinest put out his top 10, so I'm going to put my list to the test against one of the greats. Here we go!
