College Sports! You can pay these PLAYERS and you Know it....

Collegiate Basketball player???

At one point in time, I wasn't sold on highschoolers playing in a league of men. The funny thing is when I formed this opinion, I was 14 watching Michael Jordan destroy guys. As I got older, my opinion fluctuated, and now that I've maturely aged (meaning being in the work force [too damn long]) I don't see a reason to hold a kid or young man back from his dream.

College basketball is becoming a joke. I'm saying this only because of all the scandals that are surfacing (and we know that have and are going on for years). It's tough to recruit, because these kids need money and I personally can't blame them. Coaches and staff are under pressure to grab star players, and it's becoming a disaster in every direction.

Look at this way. If the kid had a dream of opening a business, there wouldn't be any stipulations. There wouldn't be any backlash.

So treat the NBA as an opportunity of business for these young men. Don't hold them back for finances they deserve.

It's no secret that is the only way out for many of the athletes.

Selfishness has to stop:  between Colleges, Pro sports, Business, etc. or whoever;  that implements these rules.

Whoever's saying that its complicated to pay these players is buying time and stalling. It's not complicated. The players should receive a percentage of what’s taken in based of what’s generated from business and boosters.
To ease the tension, each player is paid the same. The roster consists of 15 to 17 players (I believe) and

Might not be fair, or what the super stars want to hear, but "There’s no I on Team"!!!! And hey; It's team work - "working together as a team!!!!
Something along those lines lol...

There’s some thresholds that will have to be addressed, and trust me its minor. Based off readings, colleges generate at least $50 million or more in revenue. With that, each athlete NCAA basketball player could take 0.0015% percent each on teams making over $50,000,000, and those under, make 0.0020%.
Examples
      School made $64,000,000
  @ .0015 (fifteen tenths) = $96,000 per player at 17 = $1,632,000.....

Smaller school generated $48,000,000 @ .0020 (20 tenths percentage) = $96,0000 per player being a grand total of $1,632,000

Hell, you pay more than that in fines and cover ups let alone the money under table (leading to penalties) plus to an extent, covers the (or some) costs of recruiting....

See colleges, you end up doing right for the athletes, the long term payoff is you do right by yourselves  or you did right to yourselves (which ever sounds best to you [as the reader])

Are there any other options? Is the G League the answer????
If colleges can't come to a reasonable agreement, then I say for some, yes! However, there's the problem. I fear there may not be enough space for these young men as there are only 26 teams, and most of the rosters are to an extent, set.... That is maybe only having room for 1 to 2 additional players.
