Is it time for the Giants to cut ties with OBJ?

Article by Antwon "Smitty" Smith

The New York Giants are at a crossroads with their star receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and it seems to only be getting worse with time. The 25-year-old  has surfaced on a video that allegedly has him holding a blunt in one hand and next to a female companion who seems to have a glass tray with a white substance in her possession and a credit card in the opposite hand.

Beckham made headlines last week when reports surfaced that he would ask for $20 million dollars during his next contract negotiations, which is after the 2018 season. He is set to make over $8 million next season but New York management has to ask themselves , do they really want the face of their franchise to be making senseless mistakes such as keeping himself in bad company?

This video has to make management think seriously about cutting ties and moving in another direction, getting top dollar in assets while they are able to do so.

Beckham also battled an ankle injury that caused him to miss most of the season and left the Giants offense in limbo.

Giants management is aware of the video and said,
"We're aware of the video, but we don't have any comment beyond that," a Giants team spokesman said via email Friday night.
Beckham is in Spain on a business trip visiting Christano Ronaldo and his camp didn't have any further comment on the matter.

Smitty's Top 10 NBA players heading into the 2018-2019 season

The NBA has some of the best athletes in sports but when it comes to playing basketball, some players stand out and know how to take their game to another level. Here are my top 10 players that can do just that, play at another level.  1. LeBron James SF Los Angeles Lakers  2017-2018 Stats: 27.5 ppg, 8.6 rpg, 9.1 apg   The king lived up to his name this season as he carried the Cavs to a 4th straight finals appearance. He played in all 82 games (first time in his career) and endured a trade, so he's still #1. 2. Kevin Durant SF Golden State Warriors 2017-2018 Stats:  26.4 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 5.4 apg  The now 2-time NBA champion and Finals MVP also put on a show this past season as he excelled on the defensive side of the ball, something he isn't known for throughout his career.  3. Anthony Davis C New Orleans Pelicans 2017-2018 Stats: 28.1 ppg, 11.1 rpg, 2.3 apg  This young stud is only getting better with ...
